|Welcome to the British Junior School|
|Dear Parents, students and friends,
Education in the Junior Key Stage 2 section is a vital stage in children's development, laying the foundations for life. We provide a rich and stimulating curriculum to about 260 children ranging from the ages of 7 – 11 in Years 3,4,5 and 6.Our strong commitment to helping all children succeed and to providing a happy, safe and supportive environment is central to our vision of providing educational excellence for all. Truly effective learning and teaching focuses on individual children, their strengths, their needs, and the approaches which engage, motivate and inspire them. At TES we pride ourselves on knowing the children and helping them to grow and develop into citizens of the future.
We believe that children's entitlement to a rich, broad and balanced set of learning experiences can only be guaranteed if there are firm foundations. We ensure the vital building blocks of Literacy, Numeracy and ICT which are the children's key to the wider world of learning are taught through exciting programmes of learning. You can view our termly guides for each year group by following the link to Curriculum.
We have excellent facilities at the primary campus which include our library, ICT suites, music rooms, a science lab, art room, cooking room and a design and technology room.
As well as our formal curriculum the children have an opportunity to participate in a rich programme of extra curricula activities which include a wide range of sporting activities, music, dance, art, sewing, computers, language classes, cooking and science.
