Important Update(s)

End of Year Message15 June 2012
Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe that the end of the 2011 / 2012 academic year is drawing to a close. It is at times such as this that you take the opportunity to pause and reflect on the year that has gone before and set your thoughts on the possibilities which lay ahead. As I reflect I can’t help but be proud of the wonderful efforts and achievements of our students, staff and you the community over the past year.

The rich fabric of opportunities for students at our school and the collective efforts of everyone involved to help students access these opportunities is truly commendable. Shows, performance evenings, ECAs, FOBISSEA, service projects, field trips, camps, school visits, sports days, carnival, summer fest, Christmas Bazaars and the list of other events too long to mention are what makes TES the community school we all know and love.

Sadly our TES community is one made up of a mostly expatriates and this means each year we lose many families and friends of TES to other parts of the world. I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of TES, to say farewell to all of those students and families who will leave us this year. In addition, to the staff who will be leaving, I wish to say a special thank you for your contributions to TES and also wish you well in your future endeavors.

Special mention, if I may to Stewart Redden and Sarah Pearson, Assistant Heads of British Secondary and High School Section who have both been with us since 2002. Stewart heads to Hong Kong and Sarah back to the UK and we wish them both the very best for the future.

Some important information regarding school hours over the Summer is as follows ;
·          The Central Administration will be closed to the public from July 16th to July 27th for general maintenance
·          The school section offices will reopen on Monday August 13th
·          The official first day of school for students will be Monday August 20th

On behalf of everyone at TES I wish to say thank you for your continued support. Please have a safe and enjoyable summer vacation and I look forward to welcoming our new families and staff as well as our returning TES families and staff in August.

Yours Sincerely

Allan Weston
