1. The bus company will maintain a schedule to meet the school times of operation. Passengers should be present at the bus stop a few minutes before the designated departure time as the bus will not wait for late comers.

2. Pushing and shoving near the street is dangerous. Maintain an orderly line to board the bus on a first come basis, whether at school or at your bus stop.

3. For your safety and the safety of others, wait until the bus comes to a complete stop before leaving your seat. Walking in a moving bus is dangerous and is forbidden. You must remain seated and wear the seatbelt throughout the whole journey.

4. To avoid personal injury, never stick head, hands, arms, or any other part of your body out of the windows or doors.

5. To make sure there is enough room for everyone, keep personal possessions such as bags on your lap and not in the aisles or on the seats.

6. Bus routes are set to minimize time on the road and to pick up students at the safest location. Do not ask the driver to deviate from his scheduled route and/ or stops. Only the Transport Office can authorize any changes.

7. Because of limited seating capacity, only designated passengers by the school Transport Office are allowed to board specific buses.

8. Your parents expect you to get off the bus at a particular location and may need to meet you there after school. Always get off the bus at your designated bus stop unless your parents have made other arrangements with the Transport Office.

9. Bus monitors maintain a roster of students riding their bus. Changes and deviations from the stated destination point as registered with the school are not allowed.

10. The school bus is an extension of the school¡¦s educational ethos. Practice courtesy to your fellow students, your bus driver, and bus monitor. Language on the bus should conform to normal classroom standards.

11. Driving a school bus in Taipei traffic requires the full attention of the bus driver. Avoid loud talking or shouting and distractions that might driver the driver¡¦s attention. This includes standing up/or changing seats while the bus in operation.

12. Refrain from fighting or creating disturbances. Do not act in a manner to expose yourself or others to risk, danger, harm or injury. Do not use threats or intimidation against any person on the bus or at the bus stop.

13. Random and/or sudden noises are distractions to the driver and must be avoided. Do not play CD players, cassette players or radios unless you use earphones. Electronic and other games such as cards should not be used on the bus.

14. Never throw anything in the bus or out the bus window.

15. Help maintain a clean and sanitary bus. Eating, drinking, and chewing gum can lead to littering and possible motion sickness. They are not permitted on the bus.

16. The driver is a trained professional who maintains the bus in a safe operating condition. Do not sit in the driver¡¦s seat or play with the bus controls at any time.

17. For their own safety, students must remain in their seats facing forward.

18. Do not use sharp objects, such as pens, scissors, etc, while on the bus. Sudden stops cannot always be avoided and these objects may cause serious injury.

19. Board the bus at the campus only after the monitor is present and the bus door has been opened. Once you have boarded the bus, do not get off unless instructed to do so by a school official.

20. For your own safety, do not try to board the bus after it has left. The bus cannot stop on the road to pick up students at locations other than designated bus stops. If you miss the bus, contact the Transport Office to see if there is a later bus you can take.

21. As long as you remain on the bus, we know where you are if your parents call asking about you. Remain on the bus in the event of a breakdown or minor accident. The Transport Office will dispatch another vehicle to take you to your destination and notify your parents as soon as possible.

22. Respect the personal property of others. Any student responsible for any damage, destruction, or defacing of personal or school property will be required to pay for the damage and will be subject to disciplinary action.

23. Embark or disembark the bus through the front door only. The rear door is an emergency exit and should be used exclusively for that purpose.

24. Deviant behaviour will be reported by the bus monitor who will report to the Transport Office at school. 3 deviant reports will result in the suspension of the passenger from travelling to or from school on buses run by our designated bus company.
